Dr. Logan Smythe

Dr. Smythe will be providing locum service for Dr. Michael Stochmal’s patients while he is recovering from a shoulder injury.

Logan is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic with a bachelor’s degree in human biology registered with the Chiropractic College of British Columbia, and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. At the University of Western States, Logan received scientific evidence-based training in the diagnosis and management of condition of the spine, nervous system, musculature, and skeletal structure.
Logan’s comprehensive treatment considers your specific goals, limitations, and any fears you may have about your condition. He believes in a full body approach to chiropractic care and thorough examination to determine limitations in movement, joint mobility, and dysfunctions that can contribute to injuries and pain. By using movement screening, palpation, and clinical decision making he will help you determine your best course of treatment. He provides spinal and extremity manipulation with hands-on adjustments and instrument adjusting techniques. Along with joint manipulation, he uses soft tissue techniques incorporated into the treatment and is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM) through Hawk Grips.

Logan is a strong believer in the power of movement and strength. When he is not working, he loves to explore the many scenic landscapes and trails of Salt Spring Island with his wife and three children. He believes family and fitness are pillars of health and can often be found working on weight training or cardiovascular fitness in his spare time.
