Sheila McGrath, RMT

As many of you know by now, after 38 years as an RMT,  Sheila McGrath has decided to retire in June this year. Her final day of work will be June 27.
“To each and everyone of you, I am deeply grateful to have been a part of your healing journey over the years. It has been a real honour and privilege.” ~ Sheila

With over thirty five years of professional experience in massage therapy, Sheila offers a positive, supportive, therapeutic and integrated approach to:

  • Acute and chronic pain and injuries
  • Preventative care and rehabilitation
  • Health and wellness
  • Stress management
  • Pregnancy support:  pre and post natal care
  • Care and rehab for individuals dealing with breast cancer treatment and post-op lumpectomy/mastectomy/reconstruction or top surgery care: Patients can contact Janine Siddall RMT at Woodgrove Pines Wellness Clinic (250-390-2003) who also has comprehensive massage therapy training in this field.

Physical activity has always been an important part of her life. Martial arts, cycling, back country hiking when younger, as well as yoga and working out at the gym through the years. At the age of 61, she discovered Kettlebell Sport through an introductory program offered by Solomon Macys at the local Nanaimo Kettlebell Club, and fell in love with the sport, the training, and the wonderful community of friendly, supportive diverse individuals involved in it. These days nature hikes, weight lifting and strength training, connecting with family and good friends, and eating well keep her healthy and strong.
